🏆 FOUR CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATIONS. ONE PROUD BLUE AND WHITE FAMILY. 💙🤍 What a carnival for Vic Country in Newcastle! We’re celebrating four championship wins involving our players, 19 All Australian players and six All Australian co-coaches. Add our Vic Country MVP winners and a national Best & Fairest, and there’s plenty to be proud of! 🏆 OUR NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 🔹 Men’s 35/40s — Division 2 🔹 Men’s 50s — Division 2 🔹 Men’s 55s — Division 3 🔹 Men’s 65s — our Vic Country players sharing championship success with Vic Metro. The 35/40s had an anxious wait after finishing their games. Their title depended on the following day’s Vic Metro versus WA result. It fell our way, delivering another national championship! Our 50s finished in emphatic style, defeating Queensland 78–13 to claim their crown. For our 55s, this championship carries extra meaning. Their longtime teammate David Tyquin suffered a broken hip during Wednesday’s game and required surgery. David, your whole Vic Country family is thinking of you. This celebration belongs to you too. And our 65s may have played under the Metro name, but they remain our Vic Country boys. We’re proudly celebrating their part in that championship alongside Vic Metro. 🌟 ALL AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS Women’s 35s • Cymmon Parker • Tara Smith Women’s 45s — Division 2 • Lisa Roberts • Ilmie Cuthbert • Carlie Smith Men’s 35/40s — Division 2 • Tim Karolidis • Malcom Niblett • Paul Grech Men’s 45s — Division 2 • Daniel Clarke • Wayne “Metro”Mitrovic Men’s 50s — Division 2 • Wayne Loader • Ben Lane • Jarrod Reardon • Craig Taylor Men’s 55s — Division 3 • Rodney Hogan • Nic Conway Men’s 65s — playing with Vic Metro • Daryl “Sid” Jones • Andrew Miller • Ian Walter 👏 ALL AUSTRALIAN CO-COACHES These coaching partnerships worked as teams, and each deserves recognition. • Men’s 35/40s Division 2 — Steven Tate and Keegan Devereux • Men’s 50s Division 2 — Luke Vassallo and Tony Lovett • Men’s 55s Division 3 — Troy Collings and Dean Moore 🏅 E.J.
